| コメント | 黄色、橙色、緑色の3色の色鉛筆で「魚」を描いた作品。暖色系の色をベースに、鮮やかな緑色が絶妙なアクセントとなっている。 作者は視覚をほぼ失いながらも、見えていた頃の記憶を頼りに多様な魚介類を表現するのが特徴で、同様の作品も多く制作している。しかし同じ「魚」を描いた作品でも、使用する画材によって作品の印象が異なる。 本作は色鉛筆を使用しており、何層にも重なり合った線が作品に複雑さと奥行きを与えている。作品の中央あたりには橙色や緑色でぐるぐると描かれた部分があり、左側には力強い線で描かれたギザギザとした部分があるのが特徴である。作者がどのような魚をイメージして描いたのかがとても興味深い作品である。（あいサポート・アートセンター） |
| comment | Fish are the central theme in Kadowaki’s artwork. Presently, he has almost completely lost his eyesight. He layers on the paint with solid brushstrokes. Tapping into the visual memories of the time when he could still see, he has gradually simplified the form of the fish. One painting has over 20 varieties, including tuna, sea bream, and rockfish.
