| コメント | 2021年度の文化庁委託事業「障害者等による文化芸術活動推進事業」によるプロジェクト「NEW TRADITIONAL」の一環で制作された作品。鳥取の因州和紙と福祉事業所のコラボレーションで生まれた。和紙素材を漉くのではなくかけ流すことで偶然性の高い凹凸ができ、山脈や河川のような自然に近い造形が完成した。彼の力強い制作スタイルが美しい造形を可能にした。もう一つの白の作品と対になっている。（妹尾恵依子） |
| comment | This work was produced as part of the “NEW TRADITIONAL" project under the “Project to promote cultural and artistic activities by persons with disabilities," commissioned by the Agency for Cultural Affairs in 2021. It was created through a collaboration between Tottori's Inshu Washi Japanese Paper Factory and a welfare office. Traditionally craftspeople scoop out the paper fibers to create a pattern. In this piece, Yamamoto took a NEW approach of randomly pouring the fibers. Yamamoto's technique created a random unevenness resembling the natural undulations of mountains and rivers. In addition to this colorful piece, the artist also created a white piece. Together they are powerful and stunning. (Eiko Senoo) |
